Often one of the most difficult challenges employers face is deciding whether they have the right to terminate a contract of employment, and how best to bring about that termination.
Through an interactive session combining case studies and training, the aim of this workshop is to provide you with effective and practical guidance on how to lawfully terminate your employee’s contract, the litigation risk involved in doing so, and the alternative options available to you as an employer. For example, we are often asked questions such as “Can I fire someone for a bad attitude?” or “They keep turning up late for work, can I terminate their employment?”. This workshop is aimed at discussing all of these points in a practical and interactive way.
Topics covered in this FREE to attend workshop include practical thoughts on:
• Would a termination be lawful;
• Employee rights;
• The risk of litigation;
• The pros and cons of various termination options;
• Settlement Agreements & negotiation potential;
• Without Prejudice Rule;
• Protected Conversations; and
• Hints and tips.
