Dyfed Electronics of Milford Haven approached our marine website designers in Pembrokeshire to update their aging website. Dyfed Electronics was formed in 1981 to provide a specialist service in marine electronics to the commercial shipping industry in and around the South Wales area.

As with any website enquiry, the first thing we did was to organise a face-to-face free web design consultation with the client. At this meeting, we went through their current website and discussed what they felt was working, and what could do with improvement. In addition, we also discussed anything they would like removed or added as new features.

The most important new feature that we discussed with the client was adding a blog system. This was so they could announce special offers and new product lines. It was decided that the website would be based on a clean, corporate look.

Using the greys, blues and whites that Dyfed Electronics had been using on their existing website and business stationery. An additional highlight colour was needed so we used a complementary yellow for buttons and other design elements to add contrast.
