Pembrokeshire County Council have written to us with the following warning. It is about a scam targeting Pembrokeshire Businesses.
"We have been told by a Pembrokeshire Guide advertiser that they have been contacted by someone saying that they haven’t paid VAT on their advert.
This is a fraudulent phone call as we have not contacted anyone requesting an unpaid VAT amount.
If you receive a similar call, please inform the police straight away.
