A QR Code or its full name – Quick Response Code, is a 2D bar code that can be read by any mobile phone with free software loaded onto it. Each QR bar code can hold up to 4000 characters to get your message across, or just your web address. It is up to you.
It was designed as a fast way to upload web addresses onto a mobile phone from printed matter, by simply photographing the QR code. You then log on to the advertisers web site.
The beauty of this from a businesses view point is that you can tailor make the web page to suit the advert the code is printed on. For example – you have a special offer leaflet or poster advertising 50% off Cd’s. You then put a QR code on it that takes you to the web page where you can order them! It makes it so much easier for your customer.
Alternatively you can use a QR code allow the reader of your printing to download some important text such as an address or directions to your premises. It really is that easy.
If you photograph the QR code shown in the picture it will download Modern Prints home page onto your mobile phone!
