Café Rio Menu Board Signs

Haverfordwest-based Café Rio asked our menu board printers to help them with their internal signs. This is because they wanted to make it easy to show customers what was on offer to reduce the time customers spent at the counter. What is more, they also wanted their menu boards printed in a way that would allow them to change prices whenever they wanted.
Our menu board sign printers came up with a solution; to turn them into giant whiteboards. This was done by first printing the menu boards on 5mm thick Foamex. Then once this has been done, applying a transparent whiteboard laminate over the top. The net result of this is a menu board where you can write on and then rub off prices as often as you want. What is more, the owners of Café Rio were delighted with them.

Menu Board Designers
A key factor in the success of this project was the design used by the Menu Board Printers. This was created in our Pembroke Dock Studio after we held an in-depth design consultation with Café Rio’s owner.
During the meeting it was decided to go for a green on cream colour scheme that used plant foliage as its theme. Furthermore, because they were menu boards a nice clean typeface should be used for the body text. This would allow customers to read them easily. However, to further soften the look this would be used with a signature style typeface for the headings. The end result can be seen in these photos.
