Graphic Designers In Pembrokeshire For Marias Menus

Maria’s at Picton Castle

Graphic design & printing

Maria’s at Picton castle is a very popular quality restaurant created by the founder of Narberth’s famous Ultracomida delicatessen.

Our Pembrokeshire graphic designers were approached by them to create a menu that reflected the Mediterranean playfulness and fun that they bring to their wonderful food.

To this end it was decided to use a strong southern European colour palette on the menu design that reflected the sun and light of the Mediterranean and to combine it with wonderful photos of the food. These photos give the diners a visual taste of what they are about to experience – a visual appetiser that shows you the quality of the ingredients and artistry of the chef.

The logo design was created as a free flowing relaxed image which just like the restaurant avoids stuffiness and formality. This is a place of fun and friendship and not rigid rules.  To this end a playful script typeface was used both for the restaurants name and the word menu.

When they were received Maria and her manager were delighted with the quality of the work and design that had been created by our graphic designers in Pembrokeshire.

The menus were printed on heavyweight A3 (297mm x 420mm) card and then matte laminated over the top to make them hard wearing and resistant to dirty fingers.  Finally they were scored and folded into 3 so that they would be able to stand on the tables without support.
